Overview
You now have the ability to lock your Native to SCoA account mappings. Mappings that have been locked are not run against the whitelist terms during sync and cannot be automatically mapped and thus will not map to another SCoA account.
How to use Account Map Locking
As an allowed permission type (Admin, Leader, Manager, Entity Syncer) navigate to Tools > Map to SCoA then choose Advanced Mapping, which is on the upper-right of the page.
Map to SCoA, Unmapped view
On the Map to SCoA page, users can select to view Unmapped accounts. Then they can view Native Account(s) and the desired SCoA Account. Once they have selected the account (Step 1) then select the account(s) that belong to that account type, they then can select the Map & Lock Selections button on the account(s) that belong from the Unmapped list.
This will map the Unmapped Native Accounts to the selected SCoA Account and lock the mapping from the Whitelist.
Map to SCoA, All Accounts view
On the Map to SCoA page, users can select to view All Accounts where users can select Native Account(s) and the desired SCoA Account then select the Map & Lock Selections button. This will map the Unmapped Native Accounts to the selected SCoA Account and lock the mapping.
If there is no need to update the Native to SCoA mappings from a previous whitelist mapping or manual mapping, Users can use the Lock Selection button to only lock the Account Mappings.
Users can use the Unlock Selection button to remove the previously set Account Map Lock(s). This should be done when Users wish to update Native to SCoA Account Mappings via manual mapping or whitelist terms during sync.
Map to SCoA > Advanced Mapping, Single View
On the Map to SCoA > Advanced Mapping page, Single view users can select Native Account(s) and the desired SCoA Account, then select Save Mappings/Account Locks. This will map the Unmapped Native Accounts to the selected SCoA Account and lock the mapping depending on the selection. Note, users will use the same button to Map or Lock only too.
Map to SCoA > Advanced Mapping, Bulk View
On the Map to SCoA > Advanced Mapping page, Bulk view users can select Native Account(s) and the desired SCoA Account then select Map & Lock Selections. This will map the Unmapped Native Accounts to the selected SCoA Account and lock the mapping.
If there is no need to update the Native to SCoA mappings from a previous whitelist mapping or manual mapping, users can use the Lock Selection button to only lock the Account Mappings.
Users can use the Unlock Selection button to remove the Account Map Lock(s). This should be done when users wish to update Native to SCoA Account Mappings via manual mapping or whitelist terms during sync.
Account Map Locking & SCoA Management
- SCoA Accounts that contain locked mappings CANNOT be deleted or renamed via Manage > SCoA. However, users are able to update the whitelist for SCoA accounts with locked mappings.
