OVERVIEW
The Standard Chart of Accounts (SCoA) in Qvinci allows multi-unit entity owners to standardize and compare financial data across entities that use different Charts of Accounts.
This tool ensures consistency in reporting without requiring changes to individual accounting files.
Once the SCoA is created for a Client or Company, Admins, Leaders, Managers, and Entity Syncers can map their native accounts to the SCoA for unified reporting.
MAPPING ACCOUNTS TO THE QVINCI SCoA
Step 1. Access the Mapping Tool
From the left navigation bar, go to Tools → Map to SCoA.
Step 2. Select an Account Type
Use the Account Type dropdown to choose the desired category (e.g., Income, COGS, Expense, etc.).
This controls which SCoA accounts and imported file accounts appear on screen.
Example: Selecting “Income” displays all income-related SCoA accounts on the left.
Step 3. Highlight the Target SCoA Account
Click the SCoA account in the left column to highlight it.
Step 4. Select the Native Accounts to Map
From the center list, check one or more native accounts from your accounting file that should map to the selected SCoA account.
Step 5. Complete the Mapping
Click Map Selection at the top to create the mapping relationship.
Once mapped, accounts disappear from the Unmapped list.
BULK MAPPING ACCOUNTS
You can map multiple accounts at once using the Search function.
Step 1. Use the Search Box
-
The search uses a “Contains” function.
-
It applies to the lowest subaccount level only.
-
Example: “Operating Expenses: Advertising Expense: Direct Mail” will not appear in a search for “Advertising,” because “Direct Mail” is the lowest subaccount.
-
-
For QuickBooks users, you can search by account number to locate all accounts sharing the same number.
Step 2. Select and Map
-
Check one, several, or all search results.
-
Click Map Selection to map them in bulk.
-
Mapped accounts will disappear from the list once complete.
VIEWING/CHANGING EXISTING MAPPINGS
You can confirm or change existing mappings at any time.
To View All Accounts
Click All Accounts (top right) to display both mapped and unmapped accounts.
To Change a Mapped Account
-
In All Accounts, check the box next to the account you want to remap.
- Click the desired SCoA account in the left column (it will highlight green).
-
Click Map Selection to apply the change.
The updated mapping will display the new standard account name in the corresponding column.
