A follow up, action item related to the QuickBooks Application Certificate should be performed by the QuickBooks user. Please see this article for further information.
At times a QuickBooks application certificate error can appear for 3rd party applications that are connected to QuickBooks desktop files. This "QuickBooks- Application with Expired Certificate" error is related to a code signing certificate that needs to be updated for new technology releases, but has no bearing on historical technology authorizations. A quick toggle in the QuickBooks file will eliminate the error message until the certificate is updated.
- In the QuickBooks file navigate to Edit > Preferences > Integrated Applications
- Click on the Company Preferences tab
- Ensure the box stating "Notify the user before running any application whose certificate has expired" is not checked. Uncheck if so.
- Save the settings
