How to Use Filter Entity in Qvinci

The Advanced Entity Filters provide a faster and more flexible way to find and select the entities you need. The filter combines entity selection, property filters, saved filters, and drag selection in one place.

1. Open Filter Entity 

1. Open Reports or Libraries.
2. Click Filter Entities.
3. The Filter Entity form will open.

By default, all entities are selected. Selected entities are displayed in green. The first view displays up to 350 entities in a scrollable table.

Select or Deselect Entities

You can select or deselect entities individually by clicking the entity in the list.

For larger selections, use Drag Selection to select or deselect multiple entities at once.

2. Use Drag Selection

Drag Selection allows you to quickly select or deselect multiple entities without clicking each entity individually.

1. Click and hold on the first entity you want to include.
2. Drag across the entities you want to select or deselect.
3. The action applied to the first entity in the selection will be applied to the remaining entities in the drag selection.

Example: If the first entity you select is being selected, the other entities included in the drag selection will also be selected. If the first entity is being deselected, the remaining entities will be deselected.

3. Use Quick Filters

Quick Filters allow you to narrow down the entities displayed and make it easier to find the entities you need.

Filter by Property

Entities in Qvinci can be assigned properties, such as State, Region, Manager, and other available properties.

Use Filter by Property to find entities based on these assigned properties.

Saved Selection Filters

Saved Selection Filters allow you to create and save personalized groups of entities for future use.

You can edit a Saved Selection Filter at any time to add or remove entities from the group.

Show Only Selected Entities

Use Show Only Selected to hide unselected entities and display only the entities currently selected.

This can make it easier to review your selections, particularly when working with a large number of entities.

Sort Entities

Use the column sorting options to organize entities in ascending or descending order.

Click a column header to sort the entities. Click the header again to change the sort direction.

Selected Count and Page Indicators

The entity list displays up to 350 entities per page in a scrollable table.

Use the page indicators to see which page you are viewing and navigate between pages when more than 350 entities are available.

The selected count shows the number of entities currently selected.

4. Apply Your Selection

After selecting the entities you need, select Submit in the top right corner to continue working with your selected entities.

Note: Entity filtering is available throughout Qvinci wherever entity selection is required.
