OVERVIEW
This guide outlines how an Entity Syncer can sync financial data via Excel in Qvinci. Viewers can access synced reports, but only the Entity Syncer can perform the sync. A new Excel template must be generated at the beginning of each year.

STEPS TO CONNECTING QVINCI EXCEL TEMPLATE

Use Excel 2007 or newer – Older versions are not supported. 
- 
Log into Qvinci at www.qvinci.com. 
- 
Navigate to Manage > Entities from the left menu. 
- 
Click on the desired Entity in the left-hand panel. 
- 
If Excel Sync is not yet enabled: - 
Click Enable Excel Syncing (bottom right) and proceed. 
 
-

Go to the Export Excel tab (top center). 
- 
Select January as the start month. 
- 
Click Generate Template to download the Excel file.

Reopen the Entity in Manage > Entities, go to Export Excel, and download the latest template. 
- 
Open the template and enable macros when prompted. 
- 
Read the Intro tab in the template for specific data formatting instructions. 
- 
Set-up: - 
Export a Profit & Loss report by month from your accounting software for the calendar year. 
- 
Copy all accounts and monthly data. 
- 
Paste the data into the “P&L” tab, starting at cell A8. 
 
-

Confirm: - 
Chart of Accounts is in Column A. 
- 
Monthly values are in subsequent columns. 
 
- 
- 
Click a cell in the column where financial data begins (e.g., Column C), then click “Set Start of Financial Data” at the top. 
- 
Repeat for other reports (Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.) as needed, following formatting rules in the Intro tab. 
- 
Avoid using dollar signs or formatted symbols in financial values – plain numbers only.

In Qvinci, go to Manage > Entities, and select the correct Entity. 
- 
Open the Sync Excel tab. 
- 
Confirm the currency displayed matches the currency in your Excel data. 
- 
Click Browse or Choose File to upload the completed template. 
- 
Click Sync. 
- 
Wait for the confirmation message (sync typically takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes). 
✅ After Sync: The Excel template may be reused. New templates will auto-populate with previously synced data.
📌NOTES & REMINDERS
- 
Only the Entity Syncer can perform the sync.
- 
Generate a new template at the start of each year.
- 
All financial data must be in plain numeric format (no dollar signs or commas).
- 
Macros must be enabled in Excel for functionality to work.
- 
Refer to the Intro tab in the template for report-specific formatting and data entry instructions.
