Overview
To connect to the MYOB AccountRight accounting system, Qvinci uses a protocol called Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) interface, and the driver software needed by MYOB AccountRight is called ODBC Direct.
If the Qvinci Sync Client App fails to connect to an MYOB AccountRight file, it will display an error message containing a short description of the problem for the user's benefit that aids in troubleshooting what the issue is.
Some of the most common errors and information and what they mean are listed below.
20050 - Log In Details are Incorrect
Make sure that you have entered the proper username and password for the MYOB AccountRight company file.
20086 - Company File Not Registered for ODBC Access
You need to activate your company file. In AccountRight Premier, go to Help > Activate Company File. Follow the instructions. (Note: You will need a valid copy of MYOB AccountRight Premier or Enterprise, or you will need to contact MYOB.)
20096 - Invalid ODBC Driver Version
Make sure that your AccountRight software is the latest version.
20102 - File Selected Not Compatible with the ODBC Driver
Make sure that both your AccountRight software and company file are the same version. If they aren't, you may need to either upgrade to a more recent version of AccountRight or update your company file.
