When a user makes a change to the Accrual/Cash setting, each entity from that file MUST be resynced for General Ledger (GL) to work. Even if those other entities exist in another client/company (as is often the case when syncing QB Classes, we create a Full File company and a Class company.) ALL entities must be resynced under the new accounting method for GL to function properly.
GL Drill Down When Changing the Accounting Method
By going to Manage>Client/Company you can change the accounting method to/from Accrual or Cash.
The error message recommends resyncing the accounting files. It does not specifically address General Ledger drill-down.
General Ledger is Per Accounting File, Not Per Client/Company
When we sync General Ledger, the data is stored per accounting file and not per entity or by client/company.
