Overview
As you create each new Client/Company in Qvinci, if needed you will choose a Standard Chart of Accounts template. You must select a template to proceed with setting up the Client/Company. Select a template that best fits your business. You may customize your SCoA template after the Client/Company setup is complete by following the steps to manage your SCoA, or you may contact Qvinci Support to request to have your own SCoA uploaded.
There Are Eight Templates To Choose From
Retail
This is a generic template designed for businesses that primarily sell products, carry inventory, and hire hourly-wage employees. Examples: boutiques, convenience stores, department stores, electronic and computer stores, furniture stores, grocery stores, hardware stores.
Food and Entertainment
This template is designed for businesses that provide full or fast-food service or entertainment, carry a limited inventory, and hire hourly-wage employees. Examples: bowling alleys, catering, fast food, full-service restaurants, movie theaters, sports bars.
Full Healthcare
This template is designed for businesses that provide health or wellness care, provide referrals, and hire specialized professionals. Examples: clinics, dentists, doctor’s offices, emergency care, hospice, hospitals, veterinarians, wellness centers.
Service
This is a generic template designed for businesses that sell specialized services, bill by job or hour, and hire specialized, hourly-wage employees. Examples: accountants, advertising, child-care, consultants, electricians, HVAC, lawn maintenance, law firms, plumbers, schools.
General Contractor
This template is designed for businesses that service time-sensitive contracts, bid for jobs at an hourly or fixed rate, and hire hourly-wage employees. Examples: construction, home builders, inspectors, landscaping, road maintenance, wrecking and removal.
Manufacturing
This template is designed for businesses that produce industrial or commercial goods, have considerable assets and equipment, and hire hourly-wage employees. Examples: appliances, food processing, industrial components, machinery and small tools, textiles.
Religious
This template is designed for non-profits that provide religious services, counseling, and educational programs. Examples: churches, parishes, seminaries, synagogues, temples.
Non-Profit
This is a generic template designed for non-profit groups that provide information and services to their community and are funded by grants and private donations. Examples: advocacy groups, community outreach, free clinics, research foundations, scholarships, shelters.
Custom
This is a generic template that allows you to proceed through the SCoA selection process by having placeholder accounts applied in the SCoA. These accounts can then be manually edited to suit your desired layout, or you may contact Qvinci Support to provide a custom SCoA from an IIF file or Excel.
